The 101 best hotels in Germany

Nov. 22, 2023

Once again voted one of the 101 best hotels in Germany

There are more than 11,000 hotels in Germany. Among them are many excellent establishments that form the backbone of our high-quality hospitality. The experts at the '101 Best' compile an annual list of the best with the aim of categorising the hotel landscape in Germany according to 'measurable, relevant and meaningful criteria'. The ranking is intended to provide travellers with guidance for their hotel decisions.

The objective assessment is made up of three criteria: The basis of the ranking is formed by the ratings of those who can authentically reflect the experiences in the hotels - the guests. The results of recognised international rankings are also taken into account. And the third pillar is the on-site quality assessment by hotel experts.

It is a great honour for us that our
Relais & Châteaux Hotel Bülow Palais is once again one of the absolute top addresses!

As part of the "101 Best" listing, five questions were put to our General Manager Ralf J. Kutzner:

Question: The hotel industry is multifaceted - but what do you think all luxury hotels have in common?
Answer: Offering our guests special time-outs that they have to do without in everyday life for a variety of reasons. Listening to our guests, focussing on them and being a host with a natural warmth.

Question: What character trait should hotel staff in the top hotel industry definitely have?
Answer: Empathy, team spirit, pleasure in serving. You also need an affinity for the finer things in life, otherwise it will be difficult.

Question: Where can you hold a meeting most efficiently?
Answer: It depends on the objective of the meeting. The location should be chosen so that theory and practice complement each other perfectly.

Question: And where do you laugh best?
Answer: In a wide variety of places. The main thing is that there is a reason!

Question: What's the perfect way to start the day?
Answer: Having breakfast together with my wife and, if possible, all the children. Unfortunately, we don't manage that often enough!
