THE BÜLOW HISTORY

The Bülow family - builders and owners with passion.

Surrounded by numerous listed buildings, the Bülow Palais, which opened in 2010, fits perfectly into the historic course of the street and completes the ensemble in the immediate vicinity of the Dreikönigskirche. The exclusive hotel was built in the only vacant lot on the well-known Königstraße, the landmark of which is the baroque church with its magnificent 88 meter high tower. The church forecourt shines with the prominent "gap closure" in its original design and the market fountain from 1858 is representative in the center.

While the exterior of the Palais building adapts to the historic character of Königstraße, the interior design incorporates baroque elements into the contemporary, elegant style of the house, which also leaves room for modern art.

The builders and owners of the Bülow Palais and the Bülow Residenz, just a few steps away, were and are the Stuttgart entrepreneurial couple Monika and Horst Bülow. With great attention to detail, the builders left nothing to chance and even brought private works of art into the new house. The personal signature is already evident in the spacious lobby: decorated in blue, silver and gold tones, skillfully staged design armchairs set attractive accents and contribute to the unmistakable impression of the house.

A home in a special place. Before it was destroyed in World War II, the vicarage of the well-known Dreikönigskirche stood on part of the Bülow Palais building site. The famous "son of the city", writer Emil Erich Kästner (* 1899 Dresden; † 1974 in Munich) was baptized and confirmed in this church. "When I was a little boy" - that's the name of his book, in which he impressively describes his life in the area around Königstrasse.
